Abstract

This project has as main objective the introduction of basic concepts of harmonic analysis. During its development we will examine the Fourier transforms, their properties and their use in the solution of heat conduction problems on infinite and semi-infinite bars and in the Dirichlet problem for the Laplace equation on a half plane.
