Abstract I set out a reflection on the German-written literature of exile after 1933 and its links with the shoah, having, as primary source, works by female writers who sheltered in Latin America after being persecuted by the national socialist regime. The proposal has a complementary double dimension. On one hand, I intend to deal, from a relatively more empiric point of view, with the works of nine female writers who exiled in Latin-American countries, aiming to rescue life paths partially given to oblivion, and to discuss local and historical links and its relations with the emergence, the ways of exposition, and the fate of the literary texts. Those writers are: Doris Dauber, exiled in Argentina; Hilde Domin, in Dominican Republic; Paula Ludwig, Susanne Bach and Marthe Brill, in Brazil; Lilo Linke, in Equator; Lenka Reinerová, Alice Rühle-Gerstel and Anna Seghers, in Mexico. On the other hand, I intend to deal with a more theoretical question, related to the inherent aesthetics of the exile literature (mainly, the testimonial value and the possibilities and difficulties for it to expose the "real"). The first goal is to open the way for access to names and works relatively little known and the second is to enable a contribution and a dialogue with the reflections on the (im)possibilities of art after the catastrophes period experienced during the last century.
