Abstract

Fear is one of the unavoidable themes of contemporary society. Different fields of knowledge have shown interest for the issue, especially since 2001. Al Berto, in turn, in 1987, brought together his poetic work under the title of The Fear. Under these circumstances, our project investigates the relationship between fear - and questions adjacent thereto - and the poetry of Al Berto - either by a metalinguistic perspective of the creative act, or by the relationship between the literary field and its historical and political context. Integrated on our doctoral plan, this research abroad has as its main goal not only deepen the analysis of the poet's literary estate - focused on the main theme - but also expand theoretical and artistic bibliography on fear. Durign the period of stay in Portugal, we will also pay visits to cultural centers and conduct interviews and hold meetings with researchers who are reference in poetry and art history. (AU)
