Abstract

Many species of the fungus Trichoderma spp. have economic importance due its use in biological control in different cultures, and many of these strains have various mechanisms, such as antibiosis, production of cell wall degrading enzymes, competition for nutrients and microparasitismo resulting in beneficial effects on plants. With the great diversity and richness that the Amazon forest offers the study aims to find the Trichoderma species with potential fungicide against Pythum aphanidermatum. For this, soil samples will be collected at different points of the Amazon forest for insulation directed strains of Trichoderma sp., will be subject to growth in liquid medium and metabolites extracted by liquid-liquid partition. The antifungal potential of the extracts will be analyzed by diffusion technique in front disc by P. aphanidermatum. The promising lines will be subjected to taxonomic identification by sequencing the 18S and assessed the potential of the isolates in greenhouse for disease control in tomatoes. (AU)
