Abstract

The aim of this study is evaluate the effects of supplementation of ascorbic acid (L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate) in embryo at 17 days of incubation on gene expression of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and intestinal nutrient transporters gene expression in the jejunum in broilers at 0, 7 and 14 days of age. They will be incubated 250 fertile eggs of broilers (Ross) distributed in completely randomized design with five treatments (treatments with or without ascorbic acid injection) with 50 eggs per treatment. The treatments will: treatment 1: intact eggs; treatment 2: eggs injected with 3 mg ascorbic acid (L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate) diluted with 100 µl of saline autoclaved (pH 7); treatment 3: eggs injected with 6 mg ascorbic acid (L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate) diluted with 100 µl of saline autoclaved (pH 7); treatment 4: eggs injected with 9 mg ascorbic acid (L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate) diluted with 100 µl of saline autoclaved (pH 7); treatment 5: eggs injected with 12 mg ascorbic acid (L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate) diluted with 100 µl of saline autoclaved (pH 7). The evaluated characteristics will: hatchability, embryonic mortality, relative body weight, histological examination of gut and gene expression of Interleukin-6 and intestinal transporters. The statistical analyzes will be performed using the JMP, V11(2015) and in case of significance averages are compared by Tukey test at 5% probability.
