Abstract

This project is part of a larger project aiming at developing a thermodynamic database for system Zr - Mo - Nb, useful for the development of metallic uranium nuclear fuels. Eight samples will be investigated by X-ray diffraction, by electron generated X-ray spectroscopy by dispersion of energy (EDS) and by metallography (optical and electronic). These data will be compiled and analyzed, leading to the composition and structure of the equilibrium phases.
