Abstract

The present research project aims to see how the personal collection cataloging of filmmaker Andrea Tonacci can help establish a knowledge mainly produced by the cinema. The work focuses mainly in cataloging and analysis of the documents collected by it from the years 1970, both in Brazil and in countries in which he spent at this time. It is intended to see how cataloguing this collection and reflect from it can assist the promotion of indigenous peoples' memory by checking how American societies and their institutions think this issue.
