Abstract

Within the scope of bioenergy production studies, this project will focus on the assessment of an anaerobic sequencing batch reactor containing immobilized biomass (AnSBBR) with recirculation of the liquid phase applied to the production of biomethane from the co-digestion of vinasse (effluent from bioethanol production) and whey (effluent from dairy production). Biogas production (methane and carbon dioxide), reactor stability and efficiency will be assessed when the reactor is fed with wastewater containing different whey (100; 75; 50; 25 and 0%) and vinasse (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%) contents (AU)
