Abstract

A procedure for identifying an induction generator model is presented in this research. The identification process was split in four stages. In the first stage an electric power system is modeled computationally and, after a disturbance, some measures are sampled of the system. In the second stage, an induction generator is modeled for identification purposes. Inputs and outputs are carefully chosen and, the parameters (reactance, time constants and gains) are defined to be identified. In the third stage, a parameter adjustment algorithm based on trajectory sensitivity method is developed. The parameters are estimate iteratively until the convergence process. Finally, in the fourth stage, the model validation is performed through tests. A small test power system which will be mounted in laboratory and the methodology will apply in that system. All the steps will be presented, model equation the obtaining of the sensitivity functions and the estimation results. Moreover, the influence of the initial values in the estimation process convergence will be discussed. (AU)
