Abstract This research project will study the way of inhabiting yanomami through research of socio-cultural aspects that act in the production and conception of space in this society: from earth-forest to the home-village. Wanted so think about the symbiotic relationship between the house and cosmology, through the deepening of reading having begun by reference authors of this project, which relate the communal house yanomami to a microcosm, which is an essential component and mirror, at the same time, from their corresponding representation of the universe. It is proposed, therefore, to analyze the communal house from the convergence between the spatial, cultural and cosmological order, through the interpretation and analysis of drawings and reports - pre-existing or collected in the field, produced by the yanomami and considered as important information for analysis - and guided substantially by the reference bibliography. The aim is to contribute to greater understanding of the complexity around indigenous dwellings - in addition to the material, technical, formal and climatic aspects - through an interdisciplinary study (approaching the fields of architecture and anthropology) of yanomami culture and its conception of the world and space, simultaneously.
