Abstract

Despite the technological advancement in the field of techniques and building materials, has seen a large number of buildings and relatively young public facilities presenting pathological problems of all sorts. Improper use of materials, together with the lack of care in performing adaptations and even when its use, all this added to the lack of maintenance, has created extra expense to the municipalities that have to consume financial resources in repairs that could be entirely avoided. Thus, the occurrence of pathological manifestations are the dominant point of this work. As part of this proposal is included lifting the pathological manifestations present, research in the field with photographic documentation, and presentation of general aspects and probable causes of the identified anomalies. The public buildings studied, located in the People's Park, will be: multisport indoor court, kiosks/diners, covered stage and the home of Santa Claus. Public urban facilities of the People's Park to be studied will be: skate park, playgrounds, benches, outdoor gyms, arena theater and band shell. By visual inspection can be observed the current condition of the buildings and public facilities, diagnosing pathological manifestations occurring in them. Identify which are the pathological problems allows establishing preventive and corrective measures in projects, in the implementation, material specification and/or user manual in order to prevent recurrence in other ventures. Thus, the amount of detected occurrence is an indication that there is still much to be done in terms of quality and durability in buildings and public urban.
