Abstract

This research aims to understand the origin and transformation of houses-cueva - a specific type of underground architecture - while social housing. It is important to understand the formation and transformation of this type of housing, given the new space partners transformation processes and guarantee the right to housing. To fulfill the goal four working steps will be performed: knowledge of the subject, by means of literature; study of the origin of the houses-cueva; study of the transformations of the houses-cueva; systematization and analysis of results. A case study will be held in the city of Galera, in southern Spain, one of the cities where this type of housing and architecture is more present. (AU)
