Abstract

This project aims to analyze the ability of chitosan to improve adherence dentin-composite resin compared to chlorhexidine. The samples consist of 45 primary molars, which will be cut to long labiolingual axis and separated into two groups: healthy dentin and affected dentin. To simulate the affected dentin, the des-re protocol is applied to half of primary teeth. The groups will be divided as follows: Healthy dentin:- Group 1: Single Bond + Z350 (control)- Group 2: treatment Chlorhexidine + Single Bond + Z350- Group 3: treatment with Chitosan + Single Bond + Z350Dentin affected:- Group 4: Single Bond + Z350 (control)- Group 5: treatment with Chlorhexidine + Single Bond + Z350- Group 6: Treatment with Chitosan + Single Bond + Z350In the control groups will not be applied no more than the adhesive system, already in groups 2,3,5 and 6 adhesive system more chlorhexidine or chitosan will be used for comparison purposes at the end of the experiment. After that, for quantitative purposes, the shear test will be done with all the specimens in the machine Universal Research Laboratory of Tests in vitro of Pediatric Dentistry discipline of Ribeirão Preto Dental School. Membership of the areas will be examined in a stereomicroscope with 10X magnification. Fractures are classified into: adhesive fracture (break dentin interface/adhesive); cohesive failure in dentin (disruption of dentin structure); resin cohesive failure (rupture of the resin); mixed fracture (fracture in the presence of resin and dentin in the same body of evidence). The data obtained will be statistically analyzed by two-way ANOVA of Turkey to the level of significance of 5%
