Abstract

Cancer in young women is unusual and studies have shown that some cancer patients in the age group 20-39 years have more aggressive behavior. Objective: To describe the epidemiology of the leading cancers in women aged 20-39 years living in São Paulo, in the period 1997-2012.Methods: We will analyze new cases of cancer in women 20-39 years old in São Paulo diagnosed from 1997 to 2012, provided by the Population-Based Cancer Registry of São Paulo - RCBP-SP and deaths from the Improvement Program for Mortality Data - PRO-AIM in the same period. The raw and standardized coefficients incidence and mortality will be calculated. The software that will be used is: Stata and Excel. Will describe the types of cancer, calculated their crude and standardized coefficients of incidence and mortality trends, and analyzed them.
