Abstract

This project is related to the multicenter study "Evaluation of Directly Observed Therapy for tuberculosis transfer in priority counties of South, Southeast, Northeast and North region", funded by the public notice nº 14/2014 of National Council of Scientific and Technological Development, led by professors Dr. Pedro Fredemir Palha and Dr. Lenilde Duarte de Sá, which results of the collaboration between researchers from the Epidemiological and Operational area from the Brazilian Network of Tuberculosis Research (REDE-TB). In this scientific initiation proposal, it is aimed to analyze the Directly Observed Therapy (DOT) for tuberculosis (TB), by the dimensions information, knowledge and innovation, related to the transfer of this politic to the Primary Health Care. Will be interviewed health professionals (physician, nurses, auxiliary and nursing technicians), which offer DOT in Basic Health Unities with Health Family Strategy of Regional Coordination of Health Southeast, in São Paulo - SP, using the self-report tool "Evaluation of Policy Transfer - Innovation, Information and Knowledge in tuberculosis control" (ATP-IINFOC-TB), elaborated and validated. In the statistical analysis, with Statistica 12 software, will be described the variable's frequency and them distribution. The results of this study will contribute to the knowledge production in Public Health area and could offer a basis to the planning, organization, monitoring and evaluation of DOT in TB control, in São Paulo - SP context.
