Abstract

The main aim of this project is to allow the student to delve deeply into certain areas of mathematics, at the undergraduate level, through the detailed study of certain topics in number theory, algebra, combinatory, probability and analysis. Emphasis will be given to topics mixing different areas, usually inspired by theoretical or practical problems in computer science. The project will focus on lines of study not covered in his undergraduate programmer, preparing him for advanced studies to be undertaken in a graduate programmer.
