Abstract

The development of synthetic methods for the tin monoxide (SnO) is very interesting due to the technological potential of this material. From the synthetic perspective, the faster oxidation of Sn+2 to Sn+4 is the biggest problem to be overcome. The proposal sets up in synthetic developments for the obtention of SnO by via wet and by microwave reaction activation. Two strategies are used to obtain the SnO particles: controlled precipitation and directed synthesis for texture control. With the particles will be made studies of surface adsorption with functionalized naphthalimides and photo-oxidation tests.
