Apart the physiological gains (welfare) acquired in the relationship,- which is proven either by the insertion of the dogs in therapeutic or institutional contexts, either by experimental ways, the research has been neglected substantial aspects of this relationship, best proven by every-day life observations, where there is a progressive intensification of human-dog bond and existential situations or story lifes in which the presence of a dog becomes indispensable and remarkable in the person's life. Thus, the research aims to investigate if, somehow, the presence of a dog corresponding to a vital requirement in the life of a human being, assisting in the devevolpmente of his personality and his subjective constitution. For this, the interest lies in ascertaining which particular dog attributes may be highlighted in the relationship, so as to allow a person to turn it fully. Therefore, to cover the field of human-dog in a meaningful and comprehensive way, it is expected to flood the own field of psychology, especially clinical psychology as it is expected that the data provide decisive aspects concerning the nature of human relations and its relation to contemporary suffering modes.
