Abstract The aim of this project is to initiate the candidate in the process of participation in scientific projects in the field of dynamics equations, through of the study of calculus on time scales, which is a recent theory which aims to harmonize the continuous and the discrete in a comprehensive mathematics. In addition to its theoretical importance, this theory has several applications in other areas of science such economics, biology, physics and in engineering. In this project, in particular an application in environmental engineering by studying the life cycle of a species of cicada scientifically called Magicicada septendecim will be studied. | |
