Abstract

The present stage of the research, now proposed as a renewal of the scholarship, will have as corpus the wonderful tales "Petrosinella", "Cagliuso" and "Catenaccio", both by the Italian author Giambattista Basile (1566-1532), published in 1634, popular narratives known as " now known as "Rapunzel", "The Cat of Boots" and "Eros and Psyche". Possible intertextual dialogues will be verified, as well the characteristics of the Italian Baroque present in corpus and how these characteristics are connected to the wonderful and folk tale genres, which the Italian author is one of the precursors in Italy.
