Abstract

There is a well established tradition of sociological studies of culture and intellectuals in Brazil, this fact can be seen by the amount of work, dissertations and theses carried out on the subject. This project aims to call upon the professional reality experienced by contemporary Brazilian writers from their social trajectories and the stories of their cultural fields. The research seeks to understand the current logic of contemporary Brazilian literary system, the place of literature and writers currently in society.
