Abstract

The development of nanofibers has gained wide interest due to its applications. The applications vary accordingly to the bulk and its incorporations, being such as medicine, electronic, sensors manufacturing and, with emphasis, on the environmental area (suitable for water cleaning filters). On this project, we will be working with a technique developed recently, Solution Blow Spinning. The purpose of this project is to synthesize polymer nanofibers with magnetic nickel nanoparticles embedded. Many samples will be developed varying on their parameters, such as, concentration and size of the magnetic nanoparticles embedded on the nanofibers. Morphologic and magnetic analysis will allow us to investigate how the thickness and other features can interfere on the magnetic properties. (AU)
