Abstract

Nowadays, with high levels of air pollution in big cities, the construction material usage that can decompose harmful substances to health and change them into more innocuous substances is of great interested for researches or governments. The photocatalytic mortar usage has the potential to transform buildings in cells capable to contribute to the harmful pollutant cleaning in its contour and it reduces the frequency cleaning, causing great impact on maintenance cost. In this context, in this work will be constructed mortar precast parts with TiO2 addition, and its photocatalytic efficiency evaluated using as indicator the Rhodamine-B dye.
