Abstract

The purpose of this Scientific Initiation research consists in the study of scientific journals for a better comprehension of the trends and discussions on teacher's education in Languages/ Literature Teaching, which, in turn, integrates the faculty survey entitled "The school and its culture in didactic relations: senses and mediations". The main objective is mapping the following academic magazines "Educação e Pesquisa" (Qualis A1/Education) and "Leitura: teoria e prática" (Qualis A2/Letters and B1/Education), published in 1980-1996, to seize the movements of the Education field and Languages field related to the literature teaching in the context of teacher's education in Brazil. The specific objectives are: a. to select the articles about literature teaching; b. to point out the approach of the theme in the articles; c. to report the concept of literature and teaching in the texts; d. to present the methodologies and theoretical frameworks that support the research of literature teaching in the articles. As a result, we intend although trends in the journals to contribute for a discussion about teacher's education in Languages/ Literature Teaching.
