Abstract

The mycoplamosis hemotropic of pigs caused by Mycoplasma suis, it's a disease with worldwide geographical distribution, affects different age groups causing moderate or severe hemolytic anemia, disgalactia, infertility and immunosuppression. Epidemiologically, asymptomatic animals remains prevalence agent has reduced growth, poor reproductive efficiency, mild anemia and predisposition to secondary infections, a situation that generates economic losses. The prevalence in Brazilian herds and haematological condition of these animals are asymptomatic just described and that in São Paulo there is a study of prevalence of mycoplasmosis. The aim of this research is to determine the determination of hematological variables, cytometric and ultrastructural of pigs positive for M. suis compared to healthy pigs in pig farming systems in the State of São Paulo. This project will develop an epidemiological study within the state, considering the categorization of swine farms related to theoretical prevalence of literature to define the numbers of sampled pigs. Will be haematological (blood count), cytometric (determination of the erythrocyte population, reticulocyte count (Thiazole Orange) and immunophenotyping of leukocytes), electrophoretogram hemoglobins and molecular testing (quantitative PCR - qPCR) for the detection of infectious agent. The study hopes to find mild anemia, mild icterus, osmotic fragility, erythrocyte pleomorphism, low reticulocyte index and lymphocyte white blood cell response, and approximately 20% prevalence in the animals. The study will be used X² test and comparing the average of the Student t (parametric results) and Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney (non-parametric results), with the degree of significance of P <0.05 for all tests.
