Abstract This project aims study and present a first translation in Portuguese of the treatise Perspectiva Pictorum et Architectorum, written by the jesuit Andrea Pozzo (1642-1709) and published in two volums in 1693 and 1700. This treatise aimed show the elements of perspective to be used by architects and painters in theirs works, within a didactical and practical method that allowed its expressfull difusion in the late XVIIth century and XVIIIth century, arriving as a reference in some places until the XIXth century. Pozzos treatise is known as one of the main texts at that time and the analisys of this object will allow understand the relations between the texts on art and the constitution of a technical litterature on perspective, architecture and paiting. As a final product, the italian treatise will be translated in Portuguese, allowing the conjunction between the results of the research and the divulgation of this work in Brasil. | |
