Abstract

Throughout the development of the human species, the relationship between man and nature have suffered endless changes in its various forms. Geography as a science acquires in this context a decisive role in the interpretation of reality through important methodologies and concepts that vary according to the scientific method. The Environmental Perception - expensive concept of humanistic geography - coupled with methodology Empirical Analysis of Environmental Fragility, has significant potential to analyze the social and environmental changes resulting from the use and land cover changes in the neighborhood Brasil Novo in Presidente Prudente / SP, from the relation of the subject taking into account its subjectivity and uniqueness to your place of residence.
