Abstract

Will be studied the pollen morphology of 13 species of Fabaceae belonging to Caesalpinioideae subfamily and native from remaining forest fragments in northwestern São Paulo State, in order to describe the pollen morphology of these species and genera, describing data that can help in the subfamily characterization, expanding the knowledge about pollen diversity of Fabaceae. The material will be collected from remaining forest fragments, the pollen grains will be acetolyzed, measured, described and photomicrographed to obtain the qualitative and quantitative data, if necessary, and the scanning electron microscopy will be performed to visualize the exine ornamentation. Qualitative data will be used in definition of pollinic types, and the quantitative data will be statistically analyzed according to the samples size. (AU)
