Abstract

This work aims to analyze the tensions generated from a loading on the palatal face of the incisal region of superior canines, which will receive ultrafine ceramic fragments for the rehabilitation of the incisal guide. Through CAD software (Computer Aided Design - Rhinoceros), a superior canine will be modeled following its anatomical references. The dental tissues will be individually shaped, containing enamel, dentin and periodontal ligament, and the main anatomical points will be used as parameters for model creation. The geometry of the cement (with thickness of 0.1mm) and the ceramic fragment varying between the thicknesses: 0.3mm; 0.5mm and 0.7mm. The ceramic material of choice will be the commercially available E.max PRESS lithium disilicate, and the cement will be the variolink veneer. The solid geometries will be exported to the ANSYS 17.0 software in STEP format. The materials will be considered isotropic, homogeneous and linear and the values of the elastic modulus (E) of enamel, dentin, periodontal ligament, alveolar bone, cement and ceramics will respectively be E = 84000 Mpa, E = 18 600 Mpa, E = 50 Mpa, E = 13700 Mpa, E = 8300 e E = 63900. The set will be submitted to efforts in the palatal region in the incisal third to analyze the main maximum tension values (TMP), mimicking excursions of the mandible. The maximum value of the simulated load will be 100N, and the attachment region will be the base of the alveolar bone. (AU)
