Abstract

Virtual environments are increasingly part of our daily lives and interfere directly with social relationships. There are a wide variety of types of these environments that have already been consolidated and many others that have been created. The present study aims to analyze the relationship between MMORPGs and human sociability, seeking to understand the impacts of those on this. In order to do this, semi-open interviews with ten players will be done, seeking the notion of sociability that they have, the insertion and the role of online games in the daily life of the user and if there is any convergence between the thoughts of the players and the scholars of that theme. A careful analysis and an analytical synthesis containing the main results will be carried out, aiming at the publication of a scientific article. With this, we intend to bring a contribution to Psychology, especially for the field of everyday studies and environmental psychology. (AU)
