Abstract

This project intends to analyze the Amarna Letters - written in the middle of 14th century b.C. corresponding to the Amenhotep III's (c.1388-1351 a.C.) and Amenhotep IV's kingdoms - later known as Akhenaton (c.1351-1334 a.C.) - exchanged between Egypt and some kingdoms of the ancient Near East, in order to outline the pharaonic perspective about the diplomatic marriages in relation to the others Asian king's perspectives and the implications of this practice to the pharaoh.
