Abstract

The main goal of this project is to initiate the candidate in the process of participating in scientific projects in the area of analysis, in particular on the study of calculus on time scales, which is a recent theory that aims to harmonize the continuous and discrete in a comprehensive mathematics. Besides its theoretical importance, this theory has several applications in other areas of science as in economics, biology, physics and engineering. In this project, we will study the Riemann integral and its properties for functions defined in time scales. (AU)
