Abstract

In this research it is aimed to study, to analyze, and to diagnose a fault on a Brushless DC motor. The fault to be diagnosed will be the absence of one phase. This will be performed with two manners. The first one is to collect, through sensors, vibration signals, to calculate their frequency spectrum with Fast Fourier Transform, to diagnose and to classify the fault with an Artificial Intelligence program based on Fuzzy Logic. The second one consists on calculating some parameters of the machine, such as the armature resistance and self inductance, through tests, measures of tensions and currents and the application of parameter determination methods. From the calculated parameters, to diagnose and to classify the fault with Fuzzy Logic, in such a similar way of the first part. (AU)
