Abstract

This project aims the synthesis of segmented polyurethanes (SPU) derived from the polycarbonate polyols of Bisphenol A [PC(OH)2] and aliphatic and unsaturated polyester [PEs(OH)2]. The PUS will be synthesized by varying the mass ratio between the polyols, allowing the balance between the rigid segments [PC(OH)2] and the flexible ones [PEs(OH)2], in order to modulate the mechanical properties of the polyurethanes. The polyurethanes will be characterized according to the composition and the thermal, mechanical, optical and morphological properties. The possibility of reticulate the SPU will be also investigated, since one of the components is unsaturated, and the impact of this on the properties. (AU)
