Abstract The detection of leaks in underground plastic pipes used in water distribution systems in large centers, such as the city of São Paulo, is a challenging problem. This is due to the high external noise not correlated with the leakage signal and also due to the high attenuation of the leakage signal due to its dissipation along the pipe. Another limiting factor is the geography of such centers limiting the use of equipment and sensors connected to the acquisition system using cables. This project aims to investigate, design and develop a wireless type signal transmission system aiming at the portability of such systems. This wireless transmitter will be used to transmit digital / analog signals to the correlator, which will consequently perform the processing and analysis of the same. | |
