Abstract This project consists in a research on Bertolt Brecht's work produced during his exile years, between 1933 and 1949. The investigation focuses on his political essays as well as his lyrical and narrative texts from that time. Its central theme consists in the understanding of both the literary and non-ficcional form in his texts as a peculiar answer to the quandaries, that, at the time, the political left in Germany had to face in the interpretation of Nazism, a first step on the way to confront it. | |
