Abstract

The present scientific initiation project, has as purpose to analyze the new political tendencies of the American Right, stemming from the unfoldings of the Republican Party. Thus, the historical moment will contemplate the end of the 1990s and the first decade of the 21st century. In this way, it is intended to understand, from primary and secondary sources, as a central objective, the formation, organization and values of the Tea Party movement and to identify, as a secondary objective, how their political agenda was configured against the administration of Barack Obama, more specifically in its first mandate (2009-2013). Thus, to identify the main characteristics of neoconservative elements present in their political agenda in these years and, in what way they sustained, in the previous mandate of George W. Bush, its base of government. (AU)
