ANALYSIS OF GEOMORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES DERIVED FROM EARTH USE IN THE HIGH BASIN OF PASSA CINCO RIVER (SP)

Abstract

As a result of modern times, man began to interfere more and more in the relief, either for the withdrawal of raw material for the manufacture of industrialized products, or even for the cultivation of new sources of energy. The resulting impact on nature often exceeds its capacity for resilience, leading to the formation of a new local dynamic. In view of this scenario, the present work aims to identify and analyze the alterations of the relief in the high Passa Cinco river basin (SP), caused by the anthropic action, as well as its impact on the geomorphological dynamics. In order to make this analysis possible, the relief features will be examined in two different periods in 1988 and 2010. The research techniques to be used involve the elaboration of geomorphological maps and land use and occupation. For the preparation of such mappings, the aerial photographs of 1988, available at the university, will be used in the 1: 40.000 scale, and 2010, to be obtained from EMPLASA on the 1: 10.000 scale. The mappings will be presented in a scale of 1: 50.000, being georeferenced on topographical charts produced by IBGE, Itirapina and Rio Claro sheets. For the mapping of land use and occupation, the guidelines presented by IBGE (2013) will be used, as well as the technical suggestions for image analysis proposed by Diniz and Ceron (1966). For the elaboration of geomorphological maps, the concepts of Tricart (1965) will be adapted.
