Abstract This study aims to know the experiences of health teams, in the context of the SUS, in relation to the care offered to women, in the situation of intrauterine fetal death in the city of São Carlos - SP, with the purpose to understanding how the health team and health services are organized to deal with this situation. It is a qualitative descriptive study approach. The participants will be medical doctors, nurses, technicians and nursing assistants who work in the area of Women's Health, specifically in obstetric care, with a minimum period of one year of performance in the municipality. In order to capture the participants, the technique of Snow Ball Sampling will be used - the first interviewees indicate the next ones, and in turn, will indicate others and so on. The data will be collected through the application of a form, containing personal information for the characterization of the participants, and interview script with open questions. The analysis of the data will be performed through content thematic analysis. This study will contribute to the scientific environment, since there are few studies and analyzes in the Brazilian literature, which reflects the low visibility, interest and understanding of this event.
