Abstract

The utilization of corpses aiming surgical practicing is becoming more common around the world. For this purpose, they should be chemically conserve dor could not be kept for much time in room temperature due deterioration. The objective of this study is to analyze, biomechanically, the skin of cats´ corpses prepared with ethylic alcohol and curing salt, aiming the veterinary surgery practice and the students' evaluation about the quality of dieresis and synthesis of the skin in 3 regions of surgical interest. We expect to develop an anatomical model of chemically prepared corpse as an alternative method for veterinary surgery teaching, with no academic loss. (AU)
