Abstract

In this research project will be prepared styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) compounds in different vulcanization systems in which the crosslinking processes will be investigated by rheometric analysis, thermally accelerated aging, hardness, density and also crosslink densities in two techniques, swelling with organic solvents and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), in order to compare the results of both techniques and correlate them with the other results obtained, since the procedure by organic solvents is a destructive method and the analysis via NMR is extremely effective generating excellent qualitative and quantitative results, besides not degrading the material.
