Abstract The improvement of research related to multifunctionality of the grid-connected converters is a current and relevant issue for smart grid implementation, which have been outstanding in Brazil and the world. Thus, in this project will be sought procedures that allow analyzing the power quality as well as proposing advanced control techniques for multifunctional grid-connected converters. Through the integration of inverters and their control strategies, the objective is to improve the performance of the inverters and optimize the energy consumption and production of each prosumer installed in a micro-grid. Thus, allowing, within the operational limits of each inverters, they can operate on demand and fulfilling certain functions according to the micro-grid operation policy. Based on the prosumers energy demand, in addition to compensating unwanted currents (reactive, unbalanced and harmonic) and injecting active power in the grid, the converters must perform functions of monitoring and conditioning the quality of the voltages (harmonic distortions and imbalances).
