Abstract

During the enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosic biomass mixtures of enzymes are used for soluble fermentable sugars. The main enzymes in the mixture are: cellobiohydrolases, endoglucanases, b-glucosidase, a-xylosidases, a-arabinofuranosidases, pectinases, feruloilesterases, oxidoreductase and other accessory enzymes. Recent research has demonstrated the importance and participation of auxiliary or accessory enzymes as oxidoreductases enzymes on degradation of lignocellulose. This proposal aims to study and characterization of oxidoreductases enzymes produced by Pestalotiopsis sp during their growth in medium containing sugar cane bagasse. The study of oxidoreductases enzymes mixtures with potential use in biotechnology and in the hydrolysis of lignocellulose allows efficient enzymatic treatment, and obtaining higher level of sugars from biomass.
