Abstract

In this project, we propose to investigate the use of lattices in Cryptography, in particular the adoption of alternative lattice-codes for LWE-based crypto schemes. Current LWE-based schemes use the integer lattice for encoding binary messages into the plain text space. The adoption of other lattices requires ding a lattice with high center density and ancient decoding algorithm. A lattice-code that improves upon the integer lattice may allow reducing the size of system parameters, and improving bandwidth and running time of real-world protocols. As a result, we expect to provide software implementation of a decoder for a high-density lattice along with a comparison with the state-of-the-art that adopts the integer lattice. The student proponent of this project will work with a group of other undergraduate students in related projects, within Fapesp Thematic Project\Seguranca e Contabilidade da Informação - Teoria e Pratica" (Processo Fapesp 2013/25977-7).
