Abstract

This undergraduated research project intends to synthesize new naphthyridines with potential tubulin inhibitory activity. These compounds can be used as anti-tumoral agents. Previous studies in silico have demonstrated the potentiality of these heterocycles. The required naphthyridines will be prepared according a methodology previously developed in our laboratory, using as building blocks for the heterocyclic syntheses, the Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts synthesized from 2-halopyridinecarbaldehydes and 2-haloquinolinecarbaldehydes.
