Abstract

The vortex dynamics and the interaction of vortices with pinning centers have already been published. Some works are based on experiments as those ones to visualize the profile of the flux avalanches associated with qualitative analysis obtained by the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau (TDGL) theory. Then, in this undergraduate work, we will study the vortex dynamics in mesoscopic superconductors with a large central defect (of the order of the size of the superconducting matrix) with three distinct configurations: (I) a trespassing hole (boundary conditions with vacuum); (II) a blind hole (whose internal material with a Tc lower than the surrounding matrix) and (III) with a superconducting material with Tc larger than that one of the surroundings. We will analyze the influence of such distinct interfaces in the vortex dynamics and also in the response functions (measurable variables) as magnetization and voltage. This work will also be a guide to other works where dissipative and diffusion process will take into account as well as the applications of the de Gennes boundary conditions. With this last one, we can simulate other materials in the interfaces with the superconductor.
