Abstract

This project aims to identify and analyze the spatial distribution dynamics of A. thaliana foliar stomata according to changes in external factors such as radiation, temperature and humidity conditions. This identification of patterns in stoma distribution will support future studies of biosensor analysis in the agricultural environment, aiming to determine if the plant has suffered some stress and how long it has suffered, that is, to detect stresses in a faster way than other conventional methods. Plants will be exposed to controlled abiotic stress conditions. The patterns of the stomata on the leaf surface will be investigated. For this, we will consider the analysis of complex networks, where each stomata will be considered with a vertex of the graph and its distances weighted edges. The objective of the research is to verify and understand if there is a global pattern in the dynamics of the spatial distribution of the stomata, according to the induced abiotic condition. A direct application of this analysis will be the investigation of biosensors, allowing by stomatal distribution pattern to recognize the abiotic stress that the plant was exposed. (AU)
