Abstract

The theme of this Project approaches the curriculum for secondary school Geography teaching of the years of 1930. We highlight the influence of Pierre Monbeig, Aroldo de Azevedo and Maria Conceição Vicente de Carvalho who drew up a project for teaching Geography at the time. This is a documentary and bibliographic research developed throught location and analysis of documentary sources, including the text "secondary school of Geography" published in the year 1935. Highlight the context the proposal has been produced, as well as the authors' contribution to the organization of Geography curriculum for the middle school. The Geography curriculum proposed considered the assumptions of the new school, valuing the psychological and methodological aspects of learning. This model curriculum, for your time, I was pleading with the model of teacher training in Geography, Faculty of Philosofy, Science and Letters (FFCL) of the university of São Paulo (USP) and was discussed in the Brazilian Geographers Association (AGB).
