Abstract Orthognathic surgery appears to correct the maxillo-mandibular disproportions, aiming at the bone and dental balance structures of the face. The objective of the present study is to evaluate the static posture of patients undergoing orthognathic surgery. To do so, will be evaluated 40 patients of both gender, aged 18 to 60 years divided into two groups matched by age, gender and BMI: GCO: group subjected to orthognathic surgery and GC: control group with individuals without facial surgical procedure. The GCO group will be evaluated in three moments: orthognathic surgery preoperative (P0), first month postoperatively (P1), and second month postoperatively (P2). The static posture is evaluated by PostureScreen Mobile® application in four ways, where postural deviations will be analyzed in the head, shoulder, chest, hips, knees and spine. The data shall be subjected to exploratory analysis, and will be applied the test of Shapiro-Wilk normality to analyze the distribution. The results found will find out if postural changes, and which the postural rearrangement after surgery. | |
