Abstract

DBpedia aims to represent information from Wikipedia in the structured data format following the principles of Linked Data. Those principles aim at facilitating access of semantically described data by computational systems. DBpedia explores the use of ontologies and RDF(S) which standardize classes of entities as well as relationships between entities. Given that DBpedia is frequently used, it needs to be updated alongside Wikipedia in over time. However, it is essential that it generates consistent data and, as it was observed in many researches, it doesn't happen as often as it should. The goal of this scientific initiation project is to identify and correct inconsistencies on RDF data from DBpedia. We aim to keep the integrity of underlying systems that use it as a source of information. This task is essential to keep consistency of an element of data with another, avoid ambiguity, and conflicting or inconsistent with real-world information.
